5 day horse riding and cattle handling experience

  • Location: Crows Nest, Qld
AUD $2,000.00

5 days riding on a working cattle property here at Cowboy Up Trail Riding and 4 nights accommodation at our local B&B Tweeters Country Getaway.  Tweeters provides a unique farmstay experience with resort style accommodation.  (pickup/drop off each day is included if required).

You will have a fantastic experience as you improve your horse handling and riding skills on our wonderful quarter horses.  We will teach you ground work, basic barefoot farrier work and general horse handling skills.  Each day will include a group trail ride (which may include mustering work) over our property.

You will catch, saddle and bridle your own horse each day and be responsible for washing and grooming at the end of the ride.

Learn how to muster cattle in from the paddock in a quiet, calm manner, reading their body language and moving them to the yards.  In the yards you will have hands on experience in the jobs that cattle farmers do on a regular basis (can include drafting, medicating, tagging etc)

This experience is for beginners or through to experienced riders. Maximum riders will be 4 and you must be over 18 years old.
